Lent
Event is a community event to eradicate extreme poverty. It is
journey of the mind body and spirit that can bring about community
and personal transformation. During Lent participants make a
material sacrifice while extending the mind through education and
renewing the spirit through prayer.
The
money saved through personal sacrifice goes to support overseas aid
projects assisting some of the worlds neediest
people.

Lent
Event is a God-inspired community movement aiming to alleviate
world poverty by challenging those of us who live in the first
world to re-evaluate our priorities and our use of God's resources.
Lent Event is about inviting God to shape our lives more fully
with his love and compassion. Through Lent Event we express
this love and compassion to the world's desperately poor, to give
them a future filled with hope. At the same time, we receive the
blessing of a life lived more closely with God.
We
experience the change in ourselves as we help God to change the
world.
