Can we imagine the reality of daily life for
the 600 000 children living in Zambia who have been orphaned
as a result of HIV/AIDS? Many thousands more are living with sick
parents or relatives.
Lent Event is supporting 1300 orphans in
Mwandi through UnitingWorld's Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC)
Project. As part of its work, the OVC project runs a feeding
program that ensure 255 children receive nutritious meals six days
of the week.
The Project also
runs vocational training centres community sewing and carpentry
skills.
